To players who want to improve dribbling more effectively.
Yasuhiro Kato brings his experiences from playing professionally in Europe to Hawaii.
In collaboration with Hideaki Kamiya, a renowned athletic trainer specialized in the use of the body.
Our aim is to bring experts in the field of soccer and sports here to Oahu to benefit youth development and educate parents and coaches. We will be holding two events: the Yasuhiro Kato Soccer Clinic and a Athlete Physical Therapy Seminar.
Yasuhiro Kato Soccer Clinic
The clinic will teach youth soccer players effective ways to use the body including the power position, efficient running forms, and provide individual analysis on posture and motion.
Kato’s successful professional career began in Japan. After catching the eyes of European teams, he decided to embark on a new challenge abroad. He quickly learned the demands of the more physical style of soccer played in Europe.
After seven years of playing professionally abroad, Kato returned to his hometown in Aichi, Japan where he founded the Kato Football Academy, training elite youth players to be able to compete in Europe.
At this clinic, Kato will go into detail to answer questions below and more:
How can I improve 1v1 dribbling against fast, strong defenders?
How can I dribble at top speed while maintaining balance?
How can I dribble while withstanding physical contact?
What is the power position?
Why does my child fall over easily?
Can my child improve his/her running form to run faster?
